I’ve finally gotten my life back!
After exhausting many avenues, and years of multiple chiropractors and adjustments,
physical therapists, rest, supplementation (glucosamine, chondroitin, DHEA, MSM,
etc), TENS, ice packs, and pain ranging from the irritating, to the debilitating,
I’ve gotten my life back.
I am a Sergeant for a small municipality in Connecticut, working the evening
shift and bearing up under the aches and pains of 24 years of harsh seasons,
uncomfortable car seats, sitting too long, jumping up too fast, wearing seventeen
extra pounds of bulky equipment, and strapped into a ballistic vest meant to
protect my life but it still pinches every part of my tortured torso. I’m
also in charge of the Dive/Rescue team, at all times scuba diving in the worst
kinds of water and weather, training, searching for evidence, bodies, etc.
I suffered from the long term detrimental effects of my job, specifically degenerative
disc disease, and in the short term, a disc bulge/ herniation from lifting up
scuba equipment in a school demonstration, helping a middle school student see
what the “heavy” equipment felt like.
A chiropractor suggested this IDD Therapy® treatment he had seen at a professional
trade show, being offered by a local neurosurgeon. A referral was made. An evaluation
done, and then the opinion, by the neurosurgeon, that I was a good candidate.
Though anxious and wary of “one more” treatment option, I decided
I probably couldn’t get any worse, and surgery was not a way I wanted to
go.
After the course of treatments, and associated muscle pains that come along with
getting my back, back, I can say without reservation, I’ve gotten my life
back! I know I still have some strengthening to do to keep my back in good shape,
but I am minus the periodic parasthesia, muscle relaxants family!
I can now look forward to completing my police career with health and sanity
intact and moving on to the next phase of my life.
I have finally gotten my life back!
